The Memo Keeps Moving
Good things keep happening with The Memo. It’ll be screening at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival Aug 4th 2025! this will make it the 2nd screening there. really grateful to be apart of the mvaaff history.
We screened at the 2025 essence fest! we were also accepted into the World Film Festival in Cannes — with more exciting news on the way. I’m always grateful to have been part of this project. The message is powerful, and I’m so proud that it’s sparking conversations around the world.

WORST CHRISTMAS EVER
Now y’all know I had some work to do! I was so grateful to be wrapping one movie and jumping straight into the next. I went from a horror comedy to a romantic Christmas film — talk about a genre shift! But honestly, I was excited. This is a team I love working with, and every time we link up, it’s a party!

Drama Tighten it Up has been one of my favorite songs this year! It differently hit a little different in Cali weather vs. Detriot winter. I also went back to wire headphones.
DO IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS
This year is all about reshaping, getting back to our true desires, while also evolving, growing, and shedding the old. One of those small-but-big dreams for me? Rollerblading on the beach.
One morning, the scene with Rosie Perez in White Men Can’t Jump popped into my head. That scene where she meets Billy out at the beach, he says something that annoys her, and she just skates off? Iconic. Idk what was in the air but it inspired me to finally get up, go get the blades, and live that dream for myself.
Well... it sounds great — but turns out, blading is kinda hard. I was lucky to already have some balance and basic skating skills, but stopping? Ankle strength? Whole different story. It’s a workout. Still, I’m proud I showed up for myself, and I’m sticking with it.
